Your Wedding and Coronavirus
The NCAA tournament. PGA tour. Broadway. Disney World. Bars. Restaurants. Is your wedding next?
The novel coronavirus, or COVID-19, has changed our lives in a matter of days. And now we’re left to figure out where to go next. If you have a 2020 wedding planned, here are some tips to keep in mind.
Don’t get too anxious yet. We don’t know how long this will take to resolve itself. Unless you or something close to you has an underlying condition, hold off on that final decision until about four weeks out.
Your vendors would appreciate advance notice if you’re postponing, BUT they’d also really like to keep your wedding date as planned if possible. See the point above.
Your vendors WANT to work with you. They’re committed to taking care of you and want to find an option that works for everybody.
To best navigate these circumstances together, weddings may have to take place on non-traditional days, such as Thursdays, Fridays, or Sundays. To minimize the financial impact of loss of deposits and stress of lining up new vendors, you will most likely find ALL of your vendors will be available to reschedule on “off days” in the future instead of Saturdays.
QC Wed Me will be sharing advice and tips as the situation continues to change. In the meantime, we are compiling a spreadsheet of vendor availability for the remainder of 2020. The spreadsheet includes Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays beginning on June 1 through New Year’s Eve of 2020. QCA vendors will continue adding and updating there are we navigate this challenge.
The link to the spreadsheet is here. Tabs to each vendor category are at the bottom. Please post any questions or concerns in the comments of this blog post.
