QCA Food Truck Catering

Whether you opt to offer food trucks for the main meal or just for late-night snacks, there is no doubt that this unique spin will have your guests talking. Thinking about booking food trucks for your big day? Consider the pros and cons.

Pro: Varied menu

A food truck (or two or three) offers your guests many options- from Mexican to BBQ to Italian.

Con: Long line

Only a handful of guests can be served simultaneously via food truck. The lines can get long. Most couples choose to offer two or three food trucks, which still limits serving to 4-6 guests at once.

Pro: Cost

Depending on the menu and prices, there’s a good chance that using food trucks will be less expensive than traditional catering options. Generally speaking, food trucks run about $10 per guest, while plated dinners and buffets start around $20 per head.

Con: Venue limitations

Food trucks are considered outside food. If your venue requires use of their in-house or other approved caterers, chances are food trucks are not an option.

Pro: Fresh, tasty food

Because the food is prepared on-site in the truck, it’s often fresher and tastier than food prepared elsewhere.

Con: Weather

As with all outdoor events, the possibility of bad weather can put a serious damper on the fun.

Pro: Flexible eating schedule

Not hungry right now? Finally able to chat with your college bestie and don’t want to walk away? No biggie. Just head for the food line in an hour.

Ultimately, food trucks offer some perks that traditional dining does not. Whether food trucks fit your wedding day vision, they are definitely an option worth considering!
