Urban and natural settings. Semi-covered iron bridge, trailways, brick/ concrete walls, prairie grass, and wildflowers.
Augustana College Campus
Lots of nature with cool architectural arches and walkways.
The Figge Art Museum
The giant glass wall and staircase. Simple, clean, and modern.
Miss Effie’s Country Flowers
A bit off the beaten path but worth the drive. Flowers and country touches galore. Many adorable portrait locations.
Other Location Ideas:
Consider using your own venue for portraits. The Hotel Blackhawk, The Renwick Mansion, and any area golf course have perfect built-in locations.
If you’re looking for an urban location, the top of parking garages and downtown/ city streets work well. Depending on the vibe you’re wanting, there are locations with street graffiti/ murals and others with hanging lights that can add some flair to your portraits.
And if you’re looking for a more quaint, intimate setting, you may appreciate LeClaire, Geneseo, or another area small town. Ice cream shops like Lagomarcino’s also make for seriously adorable portraits.
